Tsunami is a very large ocean wave caused by an underwater earthquake or volcanic eruption. It hit several countries on Dec 26, 2004. The list includes: Indonesia, Sri Lanka, India, Thailand, Myanmar (Burma), Maldives, Malaysia, Somalia, Tanzania, South Africa, Seychelles, Bangladesh, Kenya and Madagascar. Other countries affected were: Australia, Mauritius, Oman and France.

The life-size bronze statue in the middle of the picture is Tommy Trojan, the university's collegiate symbol and a favorite meeting spot on campus since 1930. The brick building to the left is the
Bovard Administration Building built in 1922.
Trousdale Parkway, a main thoroughfare on campus, is to the right. The glimpse of lawn and trees in the upper right is
Alumni Park, which sits in front of
Doheny Library.
